One-session, hand building, April 4, 6:30-9:00pm
In this one-session/ one night class, we will show you some of the basics of rolling and pressing textures into slab clay then hand-building into different forms. We will provide you with your clay slab, show you options for ornate textures, and lead you through a variety of projects. Ideas include custom coasters or hot plate, a serving tray, a shallow bowl, soap dish, textured ornaments and pendants, decorative tile to hang on the wall, or accent piece for a tile installation. It is possible to make more than one project within the session, time permitted. You will pick out your glaze colors before you leave class. Once the clay is bone dry, we will fire your piece in our kiln. In an effort to keep this a one session project, we will glaze the piece for you and fire again. We will email you once ready for pick up, 2-4 weeks after.
